NATHAN ABELS

Nathan Abels has been an active member in the Denver arts scene since his arrival in 2007. Showing in numerous solo and group shows, Abels has exhibited nationwide, most recently showing in a two person show at Now Artspace in Denver, CO.

Abels is influenced by a sense of place, the organization of both public and private space, and finding content in places that are typically overlooked. Abels mines his experience of suburban living, extended commutes and reliable routines to capture the reality of the suburban human habitat. The works of Nathan Abels are reminders that isolation is a substantial human experience and that content lies in places we typically overlook. Abels new paintings are featured in the exhibition "Stills" at RULE Gallery, November 2008.
