ERIC BLUM

The work of Eric Blum is subtle and elegant. Within his compositions, Blum creates a space which is both abstract and recognizable. Layers of beeswax and resin give Blum’s paintings a dimensional quality, while hues of watercolor and oil create an atmospheric essence.

Eric Blum was born in Fresno, California, and currently lives and works in New York City. He was educated at the University of California, Los Angeles and Saint Martin’s, London. Blum’s encaustic art has been widely exhibited across the United States and he has received awards from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
